Louisville, KY – Local small businessman Larry Hausman officially announced his run for Congress today at Bowman Field in front of an enthusiastic crowd of supporters.
Hausman covered a series of important political issues including healthcare reform, fiscal restraint and national defense. But most importantly, he pledged to put his conservative principles before his party affiliation.
“The American people have become jaded by our political system. Our politicians have too often put party before principle,†said Hausman. “It is because I share this frustration that I have entered the race to become Louisville’s next Congressman.â€
Hausman was against the bailouts under President George W. Bush and the TARP funding under President Barack Obama. And if elected, he pledges to vote against any unbalanced budget proposed by Republicans or Democrats.
“Louisvillians and Americans in general are tired of politicians putting political parties before the will of the people,†said campaign manager Brad Cummings. “Larry Hausman is a strong conservative today and will remain that way when he is sworn into office next year.â€
“If you’re looking for a professional politician, I’m not your guy,†said Hausman in his speech today. “But if you want someone who understands finance and economics, someone who has clear plans to cut taxes and create jobs, someone who is willing to uphold our constitution, then I humbly ask you to let me represent you.â€
